FREE TO CHOOSE
At Free To Be Power Yoga, we teach power vinyasa, a challenging, flowing sequence of poses that wakes up your body, increases your heart rate and makes you sweat! We are a Baptiste Yoga Affiliate studio which is the foundation of where our teaching comes from. Each of our classes (unless noted otherwise) are practiced in a room heated to approximately 90 degrees. Here’s what you can expect from our classes:
• wake up your body through poses that link breath and movement
• strengthen and lengthen your muscles and spine

• open up deep muscle tissue
• rinse and detoxify your internal organs

FREE TO BE FLOW : ALL LEVELS
This heated class is Free To Be's signature power vinyasa (flow) class. It is designed to stimulate your body and mind while improving flexibility and overall strength. In this class you can expect high energy, playfulness, and inspiration to get your body moving and clear your mind. Beginners, intermediate and advanced practitioners receive direction from the instructor to create poses that work for their individual level. This allows all practitioners to be challenged and find their own personal edge together in the same class.
FREE TO BE FLOW : WITH MUSIC
Free To Be's signature, heated all levels flow set to great tunes. The playlists are designed to uplift and invigorate you, support your practice and generate a whole lot of positive vibes. Class playlists range from Hip Hop to Indie, to Jazz or Pop. Warning: spontaneous singing - and dancing - may occur :)
FREE TO BE FLOW : LEVEL UP
Take your practice to the next level with this challenging class. You will explore advanced variations of the poses and transitions like frog leaps, forearm stand, firefly or eight angle pose, which support in dialing up the intensity of the Free To Be Flow All Levels practice. We recommend having at least 3 classes under your belt before coming to a Level Up class.
FREE TO BE FLOW : EXPRESS
The most efficient and essential class at Free To Be. The traditional All Levels class sure can be done in 45 minutes! Come on in and we’ll prove it to ya! Sweat and move with us during your lunch hour, then get back to your hustle with more clarity and ease. Express classes move at a faster pace.
FREE TO BE FLOW : COMMUNITY
The community style classes are taught in the same way with the same intensity as the All Levels classes. The difference is that it is open to the community at a lower price point to make yoga accessible to more people!
FREE TO BE FLOW : BEGINNERS
Never done yoga before? Can’t touch your toes? Come to this class and we’ll help! This one is designed to explore the fundamentals of a power vinyasa yoga practice and prepare you for all of the classes we offer at Free To Be! The instructor will teach you proper alignment to create the form of each pose and give concrete direction that make the practice doable for anybody. The class will move slowly and offer modifications along the way. We can’t wait to see your yoga practice evolve!
FREE TO BE FLOW : SLOW FLOW
The traditional All Levels flow class, broken down with a focus on specific areas of the body (think: hips, shoulders, chest and other tighter areas in your body). Don’t let the name fool you...you will surely be challenged, sweat, get into some poses more deeply and be encouraged to stay longer in each pose (which is harder than it sounds!). This class may bring in some non traditional poses and sequencing to allow you to explore your body in a new way.
FREE TO BE : RESTORATIVE
This class is designed for all levels, and is a gentle and slow paced practice. Asanas (poses) are held for an extended period of time with the support of props including arm straps, mats, blankets and blocks to give your body access to full relaxation. Come to slow down and restore. Props are provided.
This funkier, wilder and more free flow offers a change up from the traditional Baptiste Yoga Journey Into Power flow. Be open to a juicy, sweaty, non-traditional powerful practice.
YOD : YOUR OWN DETERMINATION (HIIT + YOGA)
This is a power yoga practice (all levels) combined with high intensity interval training (HIIT). You get the yoga vibes combined with a rigorous, fast-paced workout. YOD is designed to hit every aspect of your physical fitness, while creating mindfulness, and awareness of your body. It incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, power, endurance, agility and coordination. The room is heated to approximately 85 degrees.
5-10 minute introduction to YOD and movements for the practice
25-minute Free To Be All Levels Flow warm-up
15-20-minute Strength and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) with music
15-minute cool down with deep stretches and savasana
* Outlined times will be adjusted based on 60 and 75 minute classes
FREE TO BE : EASEFul FLOW
The signature All Levels flow led with ease while improving strength, flexibility and overall vitality. The room is not heated, and will be modified by removing certain poses (including high to low push up and downward facing dog) to create a more gentle practice. Use this one hour Restorative Flow class to renew your mind and body. This class is currently offered in Morgan City only.
FREE TO BE : MEDITATION
This is a 30 minute guided meditation class. The teacher will instruct you on how to create a sustainable seated position and offer techniques on how to stay present during the meditation. This meditation practice is focused on getting anchored in your physical body to get present and awake to all that is going on in your life and your thoughts.
FREE TO BE KIDS YOGA PLAYGROUP : INFANTS-4
This class is designed for infants up to 4 years old, as well as their caregivers. Through stories, music and community our yoga playgroups intention is to nurture and grow social relationships with others through yoga. Through story themed lessons, children will engage in the benefits of yoga through movement, music, breathing activities, art and more. Children must be potty-trained if caregiver is leaving the room. The room is NOT heated.
FREE TO BE KIDS : AGES 4-12
Free To Be Kids yoga classes are a fun way to allow children to play, explore and be free in a supportive and non-competitive environment. Yoga principles of mindfulness, physical activity, and breath are taught through creative games, intentional exercises, and arts and crafts projects! The room is NOT heated and parents are invited to wait in the lobby while kids are in class.
FREE TO BE : MOMMY + ME
In the Mommy + Me classes, you will connect and bond with your little ones through movement, loving touch, songs and some playful activities. Moms, you’ll get a light workout too. These classes are designed for Moms (and Dads or Grandparents or Caretakers) and their babies up to 18(ish) months. The room is NOT heated.
